About Alberta Tourist TV

Who We Are

Because of us, Alberta Tourist TV is here and everywhere around the world. We are a group of Alberta filmmakers/videographers, television/web technicians and cross-promotion professionals who have traveled around the world, while also specifically looked at the world through the eyes of the television medium.

We are excited about Alberta Tourist TV. Our enthusiasm has been fed and supported by tourism-based or travel-related businesses that have already used us as videographers and marketers. Hence we are now revisiting with our clients and with them and through them we are already networking to create an advertising boom. It is all about Alberta. It is about what Alberta's tourism industry has to offer. Our group's affinity to the tourism industry is an asset. We intend to make the best use of it.

Executive & Production Team

CEO: Chris Cozea
Chris is undoubtedly qualified to initiate the ATTV streaming video portal. In his professional life he has repeatedly worn many hats: independent TV producer and film director, writer, cinematographer, actor, oil painter and photographer, social commentator, chef de cuisine and maitre d'hotel, in Europe, North America, Latin America and Africa. He speaks several languages, has a BFA degree and studied theatre directing, semiology and new media. Under the aegis of a multifaceted UNESCO program he also studied and obtained a diploma in organized tourism, hotel management, restaurant operation techniques and culinary arts. Perhaps one of his current projects, a TV series titled THE HIKING GOURMET, says something else about him... Chris likes good food and hiking, but also cross-country and down-hill skiing, still and white water kayaking, jet river-boating, tennis, and aerial cinematography (a unique crossover between motion-picture arts and flying).

Chris is also a proven inventor and imaginative entrepreneur. He considers ATTV as his answer to the rich media marketing opportunities Alberta's tourism and travel industry could take advantage of. He hopes that after the successful launch of albertatouristtv.com the Alberta sister streaming portals will also be launched and thus assist in farther promoting Alberta's tourist and travel industry by way of: banfftouristtv.com, calgarytouristtv.com, canmoretouristtv.com, edmontontouristtv.com, jaspertouristtv.com, lethbridgetouristtv.com, medicinehattouristtv.com, reddeertouristtv.com, and many others.

Director of Strategic Development: Carol Ann MacArthur
Carol Ann is viewed in our team as "the balanced thinker and decision-maker" for the ATTV enterprise, evaluating the many enthusiastic ideas produced by the ATTV team and producing valuable opinions. She has a strong background as a seasoned-and-tried business owner, and her organizational skills and knowledge of institutional structure and dynamics have been consistently improved by numerous courses in business management and institutional analysis. Carol Ann met Chris Cozea while they were both students at the University of Calgary. Ever since they have been together and have a wonderful son, Menna Lucas. Carol Ann loves children and classical piano music and these two passions have often been manifested and applied in courses which she taught to numerous groups of young children.

Carol Ann has volunteered time and resources to many causes with various aims and matters: environmental concerns and urban sprawl, community life improvement and progressive activism, and lately identifying and creating awareness for effective solutions in fighting chronic diseases.

Director of Web Development: Ryan Fyfe
Ryan is well-versed in all stages of web system development and has a proven track record in E-Marketing and application development. This combination of skills, and his ability to stay on top of the quickly evolving web and web technologies, has led Ryan to achieve top results in marketing campaigns and search engine optimization, as well as building powerful Internet and Intranet applications. Recently, Ryan has been focused on studying and developing social networking websites and viral marketing strategies. Ryan's dedication and work ethic has led him to success in many areas of life - most notably competing on Team Canada at the World Track and Field championships in 2001. Ryan is actively involved in his community and, not surprisingly he is a Track and Field coach and mentor to high school students.

Ryan is currently based in Panama and, luckily for our ATTV team, Ryan loves to travel and explore cultures around the world. His passion for discovering exotic places and his thirst for learning more about spirituality and history of other nations and peoples bodes well with the aims and strategic development plans of our company.

Yet, not only is he a multi-talented person with a wide range of artistic expressions (photography, acting, multi-media, television production), but he also a humanitarian. By providing his skills, time, and other resources, he manages to see the best in people and to make them achieve their best in their life. For many years Ty was the editor and head writer for a series of trivia books sponsored by CBC. This series of encyclopedic breadth was sold across Canada and raised nearly $100,000 for charities sponsored by local CBC stations (food banks, Red Cross, etc). In 1991 he became the winner of the CBC President's Award. In 1995 Ty started his own production and post-production company and worked with Chris Cozea on various projects - documentaries, music videos, commercials and short art films. Our Mission

Our mission is to promote Alberta's tourism and hospitality industry in all its amazingly diverse expressions, working in partnership with our province's businesses and organizations. We aim to present Alberta as a premier travel destination in North America. Our target groups are the 2 million visitors a month who come to Alberta. By way of rich media we inform and entice these tourists and travelers to explore our beautiful province before and after their arrival here.

How Do We Differ?

We see streaming video and sophisticated dynamic graphics as a crucial step to providing the World Wide Web with the human face and presence of what we consider Alberta's uniqueness:
- highly active and creative people with a rich multicultural background;
- monumental mountain parks and astonishing natural areas that pleasantly interrupt the beautiful vastness of the prairie;
- modern and prosperous cities, as well as smaller communities prepared to welcome tourists of any caliber from anywhere in the world.

View Alberta According to Us

Tourist traveling to Alberta means: moving from one place to another, visiting exceptional sites and exploring the abundant sports and outdoors opportunities offered by Alberta. Tourist traveling is motion; television is motion pictures. Undeniably, plain text and still images cannot match the engaging dynamism of video, a medium that can inform, entertain or seduce like no other medium on the Internet today.
