Description
If you really like old trains and locomotives this is for you! Summer excursions begin the May long weekend and continue until mid October each year. Winter "Fine Dining" is available November through April. During both legs of each excursion professional performers entertain passengers in their seats. For those passengers who want to feel the gentle Alberta air, you can spend time in the Open Air Coach. Others prefer to be entertained while enjoying a 'cool one' in the Lone Star Saloon. Concessions on the train have snack foods and refreshments available and the train is fully licensed. If you wish you could learn about old locomotives, history of Canadian railways, and how trains make it through the bends without entirely leaving the tracks. When you reach your destination, on most excursions, you will be served an Alberta roast beef dinner (included in the fare). There will be plenty of time here to get acquainted with life in rural Alberta and to do some sightseeing. Check out one of the best ways of learning about Albertas history while having fun!
